Grasp, Cathryn's Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, is a body of work about the concept of loss. In it, she portrays her interpretation of forms that loss takes both physically and emotionally through the format of contemporary art jewelry. Throughout this work, she explores making with materials traditionally associated with mourning jewelry and utilizes nontraditional materials. Grasp acts as illustrative catharsis to commemorate Cathryn's personal experiences with loss and the ways we repair it.
