Grasp, Cathryn's Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, is a body of work about the concept of loss. In it, she portrays her interpretation of some of the forms that loss takes both physically and emotionally using contemporary art jewelry as her means to do so. Throughout this work, she explores making with materials traditionally associated with mourning jewelry as well as utilizes nontraditional materials less likely to be found in the era of mourning jewelry. Grasp acts as illustrative catharsis to commemorate Cathryn's personal experiences with loss and examines the the concept as it connects humanity.
